Still alive!

(TrackBack)

Well there's not been much going on so updates haven't been necessary. The past 4 weeks have been spent hanging out in coffee shops. Joel's been here for the past 2 weeks and unfortunately I wasn't able to go up on the hill with him but Ads and the gang took him up a few days to show him round the lesser known places which I suspect he enjoyed more than being up on his own.

We've not had any snow for about a week but blazing sun and blue skies, it's odd seeing the sun for the first time in 2 months, typically the temperature dropped at the same time and we've been experiencing minus 40'c in the alpine, hitting as low as minus 10-15'c in the village. Bloody cold I tell thee. I went skiing on Monday for 2 hours where upon my knee was in quite a bit of pain but it was great to get back on the hill (even if I was restricted to greens) and my knee was feeling quite strong. A few more trips to the gym still needed however.

Thursday was extravagance day as Sarah and I sat outside the Fairmont next to a lovely big fire drinking $50 bottles of wine and consuming some of the finest lunch I've had in a long time.

I've pretty much decided to stay in Whistler during the summer, everyone I know will be gone so I'll need to find some summer friends but the last few days of sun have given a sneak peek into how beautiful it's going to be and I don't really want to miss it.

Adam leaves on Friday and Sarah moves into the palacial Blueberry pad.
